The Modules are designed so that they can be used as the content for the professional learning of a wide range of groups in schools and with collegial networks and professional associations. Remember that anyone can access the free modules. While some Modules are specifically intended for executive school leaders, others are relevant to faculty and year level teams and some to the whole staff.

Getting access to the Modules

  • Each member of the group will need to register and have their own username and password.
    Contact Jo Mason.

Working together with a range of Modules

  • After all of the team completes Learn:Lead:Succeed the team may use the same Modules for discussion or members may select different Modules and lead the discussion on that L5 statement.

Preparation

  • Negotiate with the team about which Module/s will be the focus for your professional learning
    • You could all undertake a 360 degree evaluation of your leadership style. We suggest you use Worksmart
    • Read about each of the modules to assess which appeals to you or meets your needs.
  • Develop group learning protocols
  • Decide whether or not to use a facilitator. The modules are, however, self-explanatory and user-friendly.

Working together on one module

There are a number of ways that the module can be used for team focus using one module:

  • Some members of the team may choose to enrol for a Masters degree and use the team module as part of their study
  • Allocate an assertion or section for discussion at the next meeting. Agree that all team members will complete all sections of the assertion.
  • Choose one person to lead an aspect or assertion of the module
  • Work out how the team will undertake activities associated with the assertion in the school or workplace
  • Each team member records activities in workbook and keeps a journal on extra learning
  • Team members expect to share with the team how they have applied their learning beyond the activities suggested.
  • Allocate readings or research from the references listed and present to next meeting.
  • Facilitate robust conversations about the difficult aspects of your roles with reference to the topic of the module.
  • Provide feedback on the Module via the menu bar link.
  • The team may choose a second Module and to follow the same process or modify it according to the success.
