Flinders University, through the School of Education, will formally recognise satisfactory completion of approved Principals Australia Professional Development modules for credit towards a Master of Education (Leadership & Management) degree.

Recognition will be on the basis of the following terms and conditions being agreed to:

  • To gain credit into the degree of Master of Education (Leadership & Management) via Principals Australia Professional Development modules, students will need to be eligible for enrolment in the degree

  • The School of Education will create two, six-unit topic shells called Professional Learning in Leadership and Management 1 and 2

  • Students will need to complete five L5 at Work modules to become eligible for six units towards a MEd (L&M)

  • Awarding of six units of credit will occur upon satisfactory completion of an assessment task set and marked by Flinders.  This will provide an opportunity for a student to demonstrate relevant learning in light of appropriate literature and research

  • The maximum number of units that can be gained towards the Master of Education (Leadership & Management) degree from L5 at Work modules will be 12 (currently equivalent to two topics).

  • Students who are eligible for enrolment in the degree may be able to have other prior study and/or experience recognised as credit towards degree completion, however this will need to be negotiated separately.
